Bundle Guide — What Else Do You Need?

A complete door set depends on the door material, the function required and whether it is a double door.

Step 1 — What is your door made of?

Timber doorMost internal doors. Installs with the included wood screws. Typical thickness 35–45 mm.
Aluminium doorTypical thickness 44–55 mm. May need aluminium-specific fixings — confirm latch/lock compatibility with your frame profile.

Step 2 — What type of door is it?

Passage — no lockingBedrooms, living rooms, studies. You need: lever set + tube latch.
Privacy — locks insideBathrooms and ensuites, snib inside. You need: lever set + tube latch + privacy turn (or the Inbuilt Privacy Kit).
Entrance — keyedFront and back doors. You need: lever set + mortice lock. Key/Thumb = key outside, turn inside; Key/Key = key both sides.

Mortice lock by door thickness: 35–40 mm → standard mortice lock; 40–55 mm → heavy-duty or long-case mortice lock. Rebated double door → rebated mortice lock (includes the rebate kit).

Step 3 — Is it a double door?

Double doors need flush bolts to secure the inactive leaf. Doors under 2100 mm: 150 mm bolt top and bottom. Doors 2100 mm and above: 300 mm top and 150 mm bottom. Flush bolts are available non-lockable or key-lockable; a magnetic catch can be used in place of the bottom bolt.

Hinges — Which One Do You Need?

Hinge type Best for Why
Ball bearing Entrance and heavier doors Reduces friction and prevents squeaking and wear. Best for high-use doors.
Fixed pin Internal and lighter entrance doors A reliable all-rounder for most internal applications.
Loose pin Internal use only — ideal for bathrooms The door can be lifted off its hinges in an emergency, even when locked.

Three hinges per door is standard for internal and entrance doors.

What is the IVER Annecy Door Lever Handle On Chamfered Backplate?

It is an Iver door lever/knob set in solid brass, fire rated to 2 hours — AS 1530.4:2014.

What's the difference between Passage, Privacy and Entrance?

Passage: The latch operates from both sides at all times and does not lock — for bedrooms, living rooms, studies and any door that simply opens and closes. Privacy: Locks from the inside with a snib (turn), with an emergency release on the outside — for bathrooms, ensuites and bedrooms. Entrance: Key-lockable — for front and back doors, or any door you want to lock with a key. Choose Key/Thumb (key outside, thumbturn inside) or Key/Key (key both sides). On rose handles the keyhole is covered by a matching escutcheon, supplied with the kit.

What's the difference between the Inbuilt and Separate Privacy Kits?

The Inbuilt Privacy Kit has the privacy turn built into the rose itself, so the snib sits on the handle rose. The Separate Privacy Kit uses a separate privacy turn and release mounted apart from the handle. Both include a 60 mm backset tube latch.

What is included in the box?

A pair of levers (or knobs) with roses/backplates, face-fix wood screws and tie bolts, plus the latch or lock that comes with the kit you select. Hinges and flush bolts are not included.

Which hinges do I need?

Ball bearing for entrance and heavier doors (reduces friction and wear); fixed pin for internal and lighter entrance doors; loose pin for internal use, ideal for bathrooms since the door can be lifted off in an emergency. Use 3 hinges per door as a general rule.

Do I need flush bolts?

Only on double doors, to secure the inactive leaf. Under 2100 mm: 150 mm bolts top and bottom. 2100 mm and above: a 300 mm bolt top and 150 mm bottom. Flush bolts are available non-lockable or key-lockable.

What finishes are available?

This model is available in Brushed Brass, Brushed Chrome, Distressed Nickel, Matt Black, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome, Polished Nickel, Satin Nickel, Signature Brass. Each finish has its own product code — see the finishes table in the description.

What door thickness does it suit?

It suits doors 35mm – 55mm. Check your door thickness before choosing a mortice lock — 35–40 mm takes a standard lock and 40–55 mm a heavy-duty or long-case lock.

Is it fire rated?

Yes — it is fire rated to 2 hours — AS 1530.4:2014.

What warranty applies?

Iver hardware carries a 10-Year Mechanical Warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship across all finishes, plus a Lifetime Finish Warranty on Polished Chrome, Brushed Chrome, Polished Nickel and Brushed Gold PVD. Living finishes such as Polished and Brushed Brass patina naturally and are generally excluded from finish-defect cover.
