What makes the Osaka lever distinctive?
The Osaka lever features a smooth tapered barrel and clean minimal tip — a Japanese-inspired form that brings restrained elegance to the rectangular backplate. It complements the long-plate format with quiet architectural precision, creating a handle that feels as good in the hand as it looks on the door.
What is the rectangular backplate format?
The rectangular backplate (also called a long plate or long backplate) is a format where the lever handle, keyhole and/or privacy turn are all mounted on a single elongated plate. At 240mm high and 38mm wide, it creates a clean vertical line on the door face. It differs from a round rose (small circular backplate) and square rose (square backplate), and is generally considered a more formal, architectural look suited to contemporary and high-specification interiors.
What material is it made from?
The Iver Osaka lever and rectangular backplate are crafted from solid brass. This gives the hardware a heavy, premium feel and ensures long-term durability. The solid brass core is then finished in your chosen surface treatment — Matt Black, Brushed Brass, Polished Chrome and others — each applied over the solid brass base.

Do I need flush bolts for a double door?

For taller doors use 300mm bolt top + 150mm bolt bottom. Available in non-lockable and key-lockable versions. A magnetic catch (e.g. PLS24PRO) can be used in place of the bottom bolt if preferred.
