What does the vestibule function do?
The outside is locked and unlocked by key; the inside lever always allows free exit. Suited to entry lobbies and common-area doors.
What's the difference between passage, privacy and entrance?
Passage: The latch operates from both sides at all times and does not lock. Ideal for hallways, walk-in robes, linen cupboards and other doors that don't need privacy or security. Privacy: Locks from the inside with a turn or push button, with an emergency release on the outside. Designed for bathrooms, ensuites and bedrooms. Entrance: Key-lockable from the outside and released by a turn or button on the inside. Suited to main entry doors and any door that needs keyed security.
What warranty does it come with, and how do I care for it?
Carbine locksets are covered by a 12-month mechanical warranty under normal use when correctly installed. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners to protect the finish.
