The Austyle 300mm Semi-Circular D-Pull Entry Handle is a bold architectural statement for any entrance door. A full D-shaped semi-circle in solid aluminium — the open void at the centre creates a distinctive silhouette that reads immediately as intentional design. The tapered cross-section gives the arc depth and weight while keeping the profile elegant. Where the blade handle is minimal and linear, this handle is expansive and sculptural — suited to wide entrance doors, pivot doors and contemporary facades where the hardware is meant to be noticed. Constructed from aluminium with a Bronze finish — a warm contemporary tone that sits beautifully against timber, concrete and dark-painted facades. Supplied back to back — one handle for inside, one for outside. Used in conjunction with your chosen lock set and euro cylinder.

What is a semi-circular D-pull handle?
A semi-circular D-pull handle is a fixed architectural pull handle formed in a half-circle (D-shape). The open centre void creates a bold visual statement on the door face while providing a comfortable, full-hand grip across the full arc of the handle. Unlike a lever handle, a D-pull handle does not operate a latch — it is a pull-only handle used in conjunction with a separate lock set and euro cylinder. The Austyle 300mm version features a tapered cross-section that gives the arc sculptural depth and weight.
What does "Back to Back" mean?
Back to back means this set includes two handles — one mounted on the outside of the door and one on the inside, fixed back to back through the door. Both handles share the same fixing points and are installed together as a pair. Order one set per door leaf. If you need a handle for one side only, contact us for a single-sided option.
What lock set do I need with this handle?
A euro mortice lock is required and must be purchased separately. The lock should suit your door thickness and desired backset. You will also need a euro cylinder — available in Key/Thumb (key outside, thumb turn inside — most popular for residential) or Key/Key (key required from both sides — suited to commercial). Contact us if you need help selecting a compatible lock and cylinder combination for your door.
What is the centre-to-centre (CTC) measurement and why does it matter?
The centre-to-centre (CTC) measurement is the distance between the two fixing points of the handle — in this case 200mm. This is the critical dimension when drilling your door for installation, as it determines where the two fixing screws pass through the door. The overall handle diameter is 300mm, with the arc extending 50mm beyond the fixing points at top and bottom. Always measure and mark the CTC distance accurately before drilling.
What doors is this handle suited to?
The Austyle 300mm Semi-Circular D-Pull Entry Handle is designed for entrance doors — residential front and back doors, wide statement doors, pivot doors, commercial entry doors, and timber or aluminium framed doors. Its large-format D-shape suits doors where a bold architectural presence is desired. A lock set must be separately installed — this is a pull handle only. Contact us to confirm compatibility with your specific door type and thickness.
What material is it made from?
The handle is constructed from aluminium with a Bronze finish. Aluminium provides an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and good corrosion resistance, making it well suited to entrance door applications. The Bronze finish delivers a warm, contemporary tone that sits beautifully against timber, dark-painted facades and concrete — complementing both modern and transitional architectural styles.
What is the projection of this handle?
The handle projects 50mm from the door face — measured from the door surface to the outermost face of the handle arc. This provides a generous, comfortable hand clearance for pulling and pushing the door. The 50mm projection also gives the handle visual depth and presence on the door face.
How many hinges do I need?
3 ball bearing hinges are recommended for entrance doors. Ball bearing hinges are specifically suited to entrance and heavier doors — they reduce friction, prevent squeaking and handle high-use cycles better than fixed pin hinges. For wider or heavier pivot-style doors, additional hinges or a pivot hinge system may be required. Contact us for a full recommendation to suit your door specification.
Can this handle be used on a double door?
Yes. For a double door you would typically fit one back-to-back set on the active leaf — the door that opens and closes with the lock. The inactive leaf is secured with flush bolts. A second handle may be fitted to the inactive leaf as a design element if desired. Contact us for a complete double door hardware recommendation.
What warranty is included?
The Austyle 300mm Semi-Circular D-Pull Entry Handle is covered by the manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. All products are covered by Australian Consumer Law. Contact us for full warranty terms and conditions.
Is installation straightforward?
Installation requires drilling the door at the 200mm CTC fixing points and passing the fixing bolts through the door to mount both handles back to back. The lock set preparation should be completed first before mounting the pull handles. For best results, professional installation by a licensed carpenter or locksmith is recommended — particularly for entrance doors where precise alignment and security are important.
