The Kilargo IS3015si is a rebated door bottom seal cleverly concealed in a groove in the meeting stile or bottom edge of single and double swing timber doors. Its silicone gasket seals gaps of 3–8mm against medium and ambient temperature smoke, sound, dust, light, weather and vermin – and it can be surface-mounted or rebated deeper for depth adjustment.

What It's Used For

Use the IS3015si where a fixed (non-automatic) door bottom seal is preferred and the joinery allows a rebate – apartment doors, offices, hotel rooms and heritage doors where the seal must disappear into the door edge.

It pairs with Kilargo perimeter seals to complete the smoke, acoustic and draught barrier around the whole door.

Smoke sealing — BCA/NCC Specification C3.4. Conforms with Building Code of Australia (NCC) Specification C3.4 smoke sealing requirements. Smoke — not flame — is the biggest killer in building fires, and C3.4 sets out how door gaps must be sealed so escape routes stay clear of smoke.

Acoustic tested — AS 1191 / ISO 140-3 / ISO 10140-2. Acoustically tested in accordance with AS 1191, ISO 140-3 and ISO 10140-2 — the laboratory standards for measuring sound insulation. Correctly sealed doors are the difference between a quiet room and a noisy one; this seal is proven to cut sound leakage through the door gaps.

Antimicrobial option available. Also offered in an antimicrobial (AM) silicone version, formulated to inhibit the growth of bacteria and mould on the gasket surface — specified in hospitals, aged care, laboratories and food-preparation areas.

What gap does the IS3015si seal?

It suits gaps of 3–8mm. Measure between the door bottom (or stile) and the sealing surface with the door closed; outside this range, call Prime Hardware on 1800 329 028 for the right alternative.

How is it installed?

Fixing screws are supplied with detailed fitting instructions, and the fixing holes are pre-drilled (and slotted where applicable) so the seal can be positioned and adjusted accurately against the floor or threshold before final tightening.

What lengths are available?

Standard lengths are 1000mm and 2250mm, with 250mm increments available from 1000mm to 5000mm. Seals can be cut down on site for an exact door width.

Is a rebated seal better than a surface-mounted one?

Rebating conceals the carrier inside the door for a cleaner look and protects the seal from knocks. Surface mounting is faster and lets you adjust the height without machining. The IS3015si supports both, so you can choose per door.
