The Kilargo IS3017si is a sweep-action blade seal with high-performance silicone rubber fins, fitted to door bottoms or perimeters of single and double action doors. It seals gaps of 8–12mm against dust, light, weather and vermin – and is an ideal smoke seal for pivot door assemblies.

What It's Used For

The IS3017si is the door bottom answer for pivot and double-action doors, where automatic drop seals can't operate – restaurant kitchen doors, corridor swing-through pairs and commercial pivot entries.

Also a cost-effective fixed sweep for standard hinged doors needing draught, dust and smoke control.

Smoke sealing — BCA/NCC Specification C3.4. Conforms with Building Code of Australia (NCC) Specification C3.4 smoke sealing requirements. Smoke — not flame — is the biggest killer in building fires, and C3.4 sets out how door gaps must be sealed so escape routes stay clear of smoke.

Automatic drop seals only work on single-action doors that close against a jamb. A sweep blade like the IS3017si seals in both directions, making it the right choice for pivot and double-action doors - and a simpler, cheaper option for standard doors too.

What gap does the IS3017si seal?

It suits gaps of 8–12mm. Measure between the door bottom (or stile) and the sealing surface with the door closed; outside this range, call Prime Hardware on 1800 329 028 for the right alternative.

How is it installed?

Fixing screws are supplied with detailed fitting instructions, and the fixing holes are pre-drilled (and slotted where applicable) so the seal can be positioned and adjusted accurately against the floor or threshold before final tightening.

What lengths are available?

Standard lengths are 1000mm and 2250mm, with 250mm increments available from 1000mm to 5000mm. Seals can be cut down on site for an exact door width.
