The Kilargo IS3070si is a weather-resistant door bottom seal that fits without removing the door, sealing gaps of 12–20 mm against cold smoke, sound, dust, light, insects and weather. An aesthetic cover strip hides the screw line, and it can be teamed with alternative threshold plates such as the IS4100.

What It's Used For

The IS3070si is the go-to retrofit weather seal for external doors with big, uneven gaps – house and unit entry doors, commercial back doors and storerooms. Slotted holes let you set the silicone gasket precisely onto the floor or threshold.

For exposed doorways, add the IS4100 threshold plate (or order the complete IS3100si set) so rain is stopped below the seal line as well.

Smoke sealing — BCA/NCC Specification C3.4. Conforms with Building Code of Australia (NCC) Specification C3.4 smoke sealing requirements. Smoke — not flame — is the biggest killer in building fires, and C3.4 sets out how door gaps must be sealed so escape routes stay clear of smoke.

Acoustic tested — AS 1191 / ISO 140-3 / ISO 10140-2. Acoustically tested in accordance with AS 1191, ISO 140-3 and ISO 10140-2 — the laboratory standards for measuring sound insulation. Correctly sealed doors are the difference between a quiet room and a noisy one; this seal is proven to cut sound leakage through the door gaps.

Antimicrobial option available. Also offered in an antimicrobial (AM) silicone version, formulated to inhibit the growth of bacteria and mould on the gasket surface — specified in hospitals, aged care, laboratories and food-preparation areas.

What gap does the IS3070si seal?

It suits gaps of 12-20mm. Measure between the door bottom (or stile) and the sealing surface with the door closed; outside this range, call Prime Hardware on 1800 329 028 for the right alternative.

Do I need the IS4100 threshold plate with it?

Not always. On sheltered doorways the IS3070si seals to the existing floor. On exposed external doors, the IS4100 threshold (sold separately, or together as the IS3100si set) gives the seal a raised, moisture-blocked landing that stops wind-driven rain tracking under the door.

How is it installed?

Fixing screws are supplied with detailed fitting instructions, and the fixing holes are pre-drilled (and slotted where applicable) so the seal can be positioned and adjusted accurately against the floor or threshold before final tightening.

What lengths are available?

Standard lengths are 1000mm and 2250mm, with 250mm increments available from 1000mm to 5000mm. Seals can be cut down on site for an exact door width.
