What It's Used For

Use the IS4077 where floor levels change at a doorway or a step edge would obstruct wheelchairs, walkers, beds or trolleys – hospitals, aged care, hotels, shops and offices. It converts the level change into a compliant, gradual ramp.

Pair it with a Kilargo door bottom seal to complete the weather, draught and smoke barrier at the door.

Compliance & What It Means

Fire tested — AS 1530.4 / AS 1905.1. Fire tested to AS 1530.4 (the Australian standard fire-resistance test) in accordance with AS 1905.1, the standard for fire-rated doorsets. In plain terms: this seal has been proven on proprietary fire door assemblies, so it can be specified on fire doors without compromising the door's fire rating.
Certified — GVYI.R26629, GVWZ.R26629, GVWZ7.R26629. Carries independent product certifications (GVYI.R26629, GVWZ.R26629, GVWZ7.R26629), giving certifiers and building surveyors documented evidence of compliance.
Accessibility — AS 1428.1. Complies with AS 1428.1 (Design for Access and Mobility). The profile stays within the height and gradient limits that keep doorways safe and negotiable for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility — a requirement in accessible buildings.
Access — NCC D2.15 & D3.3. Conforms to BCA/NCC clauses D2.15 and D3.3 (access for people with disabilities), so it can be used on accessible paths of travel without creating a trip hazard or non-compliant threshold.

Fire and smoke approvals apply to tested, proprietary door assemblies. Always confirm suitability for your specific door type and required rating with your fire door manufacturer or building certifier.

Ordering & dispatch. This is a non-stocked, specialty architectural item ordered directly from the Kilargo factory line. Please allow a standard handling time of 5–8 business days after cleared payment before dispatch. Need it sooner, or not sure which seal suits your door? Call Prime Hardware on 1800 329 028.
Is the IS4077 wheelchair friendly / disability compliant?

Yes - its low profile keeps the threshold within the limits of AS 1428.1 (Design for Access and Mobility) and BCA/NCC clauses D2.15 & D3.3, so it can be used on accessible paths of travel without creating a barrier for wheelchairs or a trip hazard.

Can two ramps make a double-sided threshold?

Yes - these extrusions can be positioned back-to-back to create a two-way threshold ramp, giving a compliant transition from both sides of the doorway.

How is the threshold plate fixed down?

Stainless steel fixing screws and plugs are supplied. Alternatively, most Kilargo thresholds can be bedded in builder's adhesive for a concealed fixing. PVC bedding pads (where supplied) go underneath to eliminate vibration, noise and moisture ingress beneath the plate.

What lengths does the IS4077 come in?

Standard lengths are 1000mm and 2250mm, and it can be ordered in 250mm increments from 1000mm to 5000mm. Plates can also be cut down on site for an exact doorway fit.

What is the handling time for this item?

This is a non-stocked, specialty architectural item ordered directly from the Kilargo factory. Allow a standard handling time of 5–8 business days after cleared payment before dispatch. If your project needs express turnaround, call Prime Hardware on 1800 329 028 to confirm current factory lead times.

I'm not sure this is the right seal for my door — can I get help?

Yes. Door sealing depends on your door type, the gap sizes and what you need to seal against (fire, smoke, sound, weather or drafts). Call Prime Hardware on 1800 329 028 with your door details and gap measurements and we'll confirm the right Kilargo seal, size and finish before you order.
