The Kilargo IS5116si is a silicone sweep seal in a slim, angled aluminium carrier, fitted around heads, jambs, door bottoms and meeting stiles of swing, revolving, tilt-up and roller doors. Its flexible silicone fin seals gaps of 12–19mm against smoke, draughts, dust and weather.

What It's Used For

Choose the IS5116si over a brush seal when smoke sealing, acoustics or hygiene matter: the continuous silicone fin creates an unbroken air seal that brush filaments can't, and it wipes clean – ideal for hospitals, labs and food areas (antimicrobial option available).

It's also the recommended sweep for pivot-action smoke doors, where drop seals can't operate.

Fire tested — AS 1530.4 / AS 1905.1. Fire tested to AS 1530.4 (the Australian standard fire-resistance test) in accordance with AS 1905.1, the standard for fire-rated doorsets. In plain terms: this seal has been proven on proprietary fire door assemblies, so it can be specified on fire doors without compromising the door's fire rating.

Smoke sealing — BCA/NCC Specification C3.4. Conforms with Building Code of Australia (NCC) Specification C3.4 smoke sealing requirements. Smoke — not flame — is the biggest killer in building fires, and C3.4 sets out how door gaps must be sealed so escape routes stay clear of smoke.

Acoustic tested — AS 1191 / ISO 140-3 / ISO 10140-2. Acoustically tested in accordance with AS 1191, ISO 140-3 and ISO 10140-2 — the laboratory standards for measuring sound insulation. Correctly sealed doors are the difference between a quiet room and a noisy one; this seal is proven to cut sound leakage through the door gaps.

Antimicrobial option available. Also offered in an antimicrobial (AM) silicone version, formulated to inhibit the growth of bacteria and mould on the gasket surface — specified in hospitals, aged care, laboratories and food-preparation areas.

Brush seals excel at big, uneven, high-cycle gaps (draughts, dust, pests). Silicone sweeps like the IS5116si form a continuous air-tight wipe - the choice when you need smoke sealing, acoustic performance or a cleanable hygienic surface.

What gap does the IS5116si seal?

It suits gaps of 12–19mm. Measure between the door bottom (or stile) and the sealing surface with the door closed; outside this range, call Prime Hardware on 1800 329 028 for the right alternative.

What lengths are available?

Standard lengths are 1000mm and 2250mm, with 250mm increments available from 1000mm to 5000mm. Seals can be cut down on site for an exact door width.

What is the antimicrobial (AM) option?

The AM version uses antimicrobial silicone that inhibits bacteria and mould growth on the fin - specified for hospitals, aged care, laboratories and food-preparation areas.
