KILARGO IS6020 MAGNETIC SEAL FOR REBATING INTO MEETING STILES OF DOOR PAIRS

The Kilargo IS6020 is a magnetic seal made to rebate into the meeting stiles of door pairs – existing timber leaves on double swing doors and sliding door stiles. Its toothed, splayed aluminium carrier locks into a 16.5mm x 12mm groove, and the magnetic gasket holds the leaves closed so positively that latches may not be required.

What It's Used For

The IS6020 turns the meeting stile of a door pair into a self-sealing magnetic joint – the two gaskets attract, closing the centre gap against draughts, dust and sound without astragals or latching hardware.

Correctly sealed doors are the difference between a quiet room and a noisy one; this seal is proven to cut sound leakage through the door gaps.

Not a fire seal. This product is not a fire-rated seal. It is designed for acoustic, draught and dust sealing on steel-clad and metal door assemblies. If your door is a fire door, pair it with (or choose) a Kilargo intumescent fire seal tested to AS 1530.4.

Why must the IS6020 be ordered in pairs?

The seals on the two leaves must have opposite magnet polarity so they attract. Ordering as a specified PAIR ensures correct orientation - critical to the seal working.

Does it need a latch as well?

In many applications the magnetic strength alone holds the doors closed - similar to a fridge door. Where security or code requires positive latching, standard hardware can still be fitted.

What lengths are available?

Standard lengths are 1000mm and 2250mm, with 250mm increments available from 1000mm to 3000mm. Seals can be cut down on site for an exact door width.
