The Kilargo IS7062 is a heavy-duty aluminium ‘T’ section astragal fitted to plain or rebated meeting stiles of double doors (one active leaf). It closes the sight line along the centre gap, providing privacy and security along the full length of the meeting stile, with a drilled and countersunk mounting leg for left- or right-hand installation.

What It's Used For
Fit the IS7062 to double doors where the priority is privacy or security along the centre join – office pairs, storerooms, consulting rooms and rear-of-house doors. The rigid T-section prevents peering or levering at the meeting stile.
For smoke, acoustic or fire sealing at the stile, combine with (or choose) a gasketed Kilargo astragal such as the IS7060si or IS7071si.

Compliance & What It Means
Does the IS7062 seal against smoke or noise?
The rigid T-section closes the sight line and adds security, but it has no compressible gasket. For smoke, sound or weather sealing at the meeting stile, choose the IS7060si or IS7071si, or run one of them alongside the IS7062.
Do I need a door sequence selector with an astragal seal?
If both leaves of the pair are active (both open), yes - a door sequence selector should be considered so the leaves always close in the correct order over the astragal. If one leaf is fixed shut, it isn't required.
