The Kilargo IS8005si is a slim-line, fully concealed automatic door bottom seal that is mortised into the bottom edge of single-action doors. A spring-loaded mechanism drops the silicone gasket to the floor as the door closes and lifts it clear the instant the door opens, sealing gaps of 3–10 mm against smoke, sound, draughts, dust and light – completely invisible when the door is shut.

What It's Used For
Fit the IS8005si to single-action hinged doors where the under-door gap must be sealed without any visible hardware – apartment entry doors, hotel rooms, offices, meeting rooms, consulting suites and acoustic-rated doors. Because it retracts automatically, it will not scrape carpets, tiles or timber floors, and it never needs to be stepped over.
It is the seal of choice where fire, smoke or acoustic compliance is required at the door bottom but the specification calls for a clean, concealed finish. Pair it with a Kilargo perimeter seal (head and jambs) for a complete door sealing system.

How does the IS8005si automatic door bottom seal work?
A spring-loaded mechanism inside the seal lifts the silicone gasket clear of the floor the moment the door opens, so there is no drag or floor wear. As the door closes, an adjustable strike button presses against the door jamb and automatically drops the gasket down onto the floor, sealing the gap under the door.
Is the IS8005si fire and smoke rated?
Yes. It is fire tested to AS 1530.4 in accordance with AS 1905.1 on proprietary fire door assemblies, holds medium-temperature smoke leakage approvals to AS 1530.7 (AS 6905) and conforms with BCA Specification C3.4 smoke sealing requirements. Always confirm the approval matches your specific door type with your fire door manufacturer or certifier.
What size floor gap does the IS8005si seal?
It automatically seals door-bottom gaps from 3mm up to 10mm. Measure the gap between the underside of the door leaf and the finished floor when the door is closed - if your gap falls outside this range, call Prime Hardware on 1800 329 028 and we'll recommend an alternative Kilargo seal.
Can the IS8005si be cut down to fit my door width?
Yes. Each standard length can be cut back on site to an exact dimension: 380mm cuts to 280mm, 600mm to 380mm, 820mm to 600mm, 920mm to 820mm, 1070mm to 920mm and 1220mm to 1070mm. Order the standard length that your door width falls within, then trim to suit.
What is the antimicrobial (AM) option?
The IS8005si can be ordered with an antimicrobial silicone gasket. The silicone is compounded with an additive that inhibits bacteria and mould growth on the gasket surface - the version specified for hospitals, aged care, laboratories and food-preparation areas. Select the Anti-Microbial option when ordering.
What is the handling time for this item?
