The Kilargo IS8110si is a fully mortised, automatic ‘flat back’ door bottom seal designed specifically for aluminium door rails on single-action doors. The spring-loaded mechanism lifts the silicone compression gasket clear of the floor as soon as the door opens a few millimetres, and drops it to seal against smoke, sound, draughts and dust as the door closes.

Specify the IS8110si for aluminium-framed doors – shopfronts, office partitions, commercial glazed doors and institutional aluminium doorsets – where standard timber-door drop seals don't fit the rail profile. It gives aluminium doors the same automatic smoke, acoustic and draught sealing as a premium timber doorset.
The antimicrobial gasket option extends its use into hospitals, laboratories and food facilities with aluminium door systems.

How does the IS8110si automatic door bottom seal work?
A spring-loaded mechanism inside the seal lifts the silicone gasket clear of the floor the moment the door opens, so there is no drag or floor wear. As the door closes, an adjustable strike button presses against the door jamb and automatically drops the gasket down onto the floor, sealing the gap under the door.
Will the IS8110si fit my aluminium door?

Can the IS8110si be cut down to fit my door width?
Yes. Each standard length can be cut back on site to an exact dimension: 610mm cuts to 580mm, 820mm to 610mm, 920mm to 610mm, 1070mm to 920mm and 1220mm to 1070mm. Order the standard length that your door width falls within, then trim to suit.
What is the antimicrobial (AM) option?
The IS8110si can be ordered with an antimicrobial silicone gasket. The silicone is compounded with an additive that inhibits bacteria and mould growth on the gasket surface - the version specified for hospitals, aged care, laboratories and food-preparation areas. Select the Anti-Microbial option when ordering.
