The McGrath Locks GRANGE is a trade-grade digital pull handle smart lock designed for contemporary Australian homes, pivot doors, and feature entries. Where most smart locks replace a lever or deadbolt, the GRANGE is a complete architectural entrance pull handle with a full 5-in-1 smart access system built in — fingerprint scanner, PIN code, RFID credential, Bluetooth smartphone unlock via the McGrath Locks App, and a mechanical key override. Finished in matt black with a tempered glass screen, the GRANGE is available in a Lockable configuration (full entrance set with deadbolt) or Dummy (non-locking handle for the inactive leaf of double doors).

Bundle Guide

Step 1 — Door type: Confirm your door is a timber hinged entry door 35–55mm thick. For thicker doors (up to 100mm), add an extended tailbar kit. The GRANGE suits contemporary homes, pivot door entries, and feature entrance doors.

Step 2 — Configuration: Choose Lockable (full entrance set with integrated deadbolt) for a functioning entry door. Choose Dummy (non-locking) for the inactive leaf of French-style or double doors — pair one Lockable and one Dummy for a double door set.

Step 3 — Remote access: The GRANGE includes Bluetooth access (in-range smartphone unlocking) as standard. For remote locking, unlocking, and user management from anywhere, add the McGrath Locks WiFi Gateway (sold separately).

Step 4 — Finish: The GRANGE is available in Matt Black and Satin Stainless Steel. Both finishes use the same hardware — select the finish that suits your entry door and exterior design scheme.

What are the 5 access methods on the McGrath GRANGE?
The GRANGE supports five independent access methods: fingerprint recognition on the capacitive exterior reader; PIN code entry via the tempered glass keypad; RFID card or fob tap; Bluetooth smartphone unlock via the McGrath Locks App when in range; and a mechanical key override for emergency access. Each method works independently — if one is unavailable, the others still function.
What door thickness does the GRANGE suit?
The GRANGE suits standard door thicknesses of 35–55mm out of the box. For thicker doors, an extended tailbar kit is available: the 52–75mm kit and the 75–100mm kit, allowing the GRANGE to suit doors up to 100mm thick. Confirm your door thickness before ordering and contact Prime Hardware on 1800 329 028 if you need to add a tailbar kit.
What happens if the batteries run out?
The GRANGE provides a low battery alert before the batteries fully deplete. If the batteries run flat before you can replace them, there are two emergency options: connect a USB power bank to the built-in USB-C emergency port to temporarily power the lock and enter your PIN or fingerprint, or use the supplied mechanical key override to open the door. It is recommended to replace the 4× AA batteries as soon as a low battery alert is received.
Can I unlock the GRANGE remotely from anywhere?
Bluetooth access is included as standard — this works when your phone is within Bluetooth range of the lock. For full remote access (unlock from anywhere, remote user management, real-time entry notifications), the McGrath Locks WiFi Gateway is required and sold separately. Once connected, you can lock, unlock, and manage credentials from anywhere in the world via the McGrath Locks App.
What is the difference between the Lockable and Dummy configurations?
The Lockable configuration is the full entrance set with an integrated deadbolt — this is the active door that locks and unlocks. The Dummy configuration is a non-locking handle designed for the inactive leaf of double entry doors or French doors. For a standard single entry door, choose one Lockable. For a double door set, choose one Lockable and one Dummy.
