How can I unlock the McGrath Locks Kedron?
The Kedron offers 5-in-1 entry versatility: Fingerprint (biometric), PIN Code (with anti-peep security), RFID credentials, Bluetooth eKeys via the McGrath Locks App, and a Mechanical Key override.
Can I unlock the door when I am not at home?
Yes. While the lock uses Bluetooth natively, connecting it to an optional McGrath Locks Wi-Fi Gateway allows you to unlock your door and manage users from anywhere via the app.
Is the lock weatherproof for outdoor use?
The external assembly is IP65 rated, meaning it is protected against dust and water splashes. It is purpose-built for Australian conditions.
What happens if the batteries die?
The lock provides low-battery alerts in-app and audibly. If they fail completely, you can use the mechanical override key or provide emergency power via a power bank and a USB-C cable to the external port.
What is "Anti-Peep" code technology?
This allows you to enter random digits before or after your actual PIN. This prevents anyone nearby from memorizing your code while you enter it.
