What size stay do I need?
Match the track length to your sash: 200 mm suits casement widths up to 635 mm, 300 mm up to 790 mm, 400 mm up to 840 mm; awning heights run from 535 mm (200 mm) up to 1220 mm (500 mm). Maximum sash weight is 12.3 kg.
Friction or non-friction — which one?
Friction stays hold a manually operated sash open at any position. Non-friction stays are used where the sash is opened and held by a mechanical winder or operator.
Standard or narrow track?
Standard (wide) versions suit a 27.0 x 9.5 mm track rebate; narrow versions suit a 20.5 x 8.0 mm rebate. Both come in zinc-plated steel or stainless steel.
How do I read the Whitco code?
The last two digits are the finish (e.g. 17 = Black, 16 = White, 19 = Primrose, 11 = Silver, 08 = Bright Chrome, 99 = non-standard). Suffixes mean: KD = keyed different, KA/5KA/10KA = keyed alike, LC = less cylinder (supplied without a cylinder).
Is this finish in stock?
Silver and Black finishes are normally held in stock with the supplier. All other finishes (and no-finish/raw components) are made to order — call Prime Hardware on 1800 329 028 to confirm availability and lead time before you order.
What warranty applies?
Whitco products carry a 10-Year Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, under the Australian Consumer Law. Manufactured by ASSA ABLOY Australia.
