Which Lawson configurations are available, and what are the codes?
The Lawson comes in these configurations (the last two digits of each code are the finish): • Double Cylinder (W5052 / W505x) — Keyed from both sides. • External Single Cylinder (W5061 (10-disc) · W5063 (5-pin)) — Keyed outside, snib inside. • Snib Only (non-keyed) (W5065 / W5066) — Snib latch only, offset or flat pull. • No Cylinder (less cylinder) (codes ending LC) — Lock body without cylinder.
What's the difference between double, external and internal cylinder?
Double cylinder is keyed from both inside and outside. External single cylinder is keyed outside with a snib/turn inside. Internal single cylinder is keyed inside only. Snib-only has no cylinder at all, a dummy is a fixed pull with no lock, and a 'no cylinder / less cylinder' (LC) version is the lock body supplied without a cylinder so you can add your own.
What strikes, outer pulls, packers and cylinders can I add?
Compatible accessories for this range include: • Lawson/Mawson strike (W548217) • Lawson offset outer pull — with cylinder hole (W548517) • Lawson offset outer pull — no cylinder hole (W548617) • Lawson flat outer pull — with cylinder hole (W548717) • Lawson flat outer pull — no cylinder hole (W548817) Call Prime Hardware if you'd like help matching the right strike, pull or cylinder to your door.
What cylinder does it use — can I key alike?
Lawson uses 10-disc cylinders as standard; 5-pin C4 cylinders can be supplied as an option. C4 versions can be keyed alike to other C4 and CYL4 Whitco and Lockwood products.
What are the key dimensions and fixing?
It is surface mounted with standard 82 mm fixing hole centres and suits residential aluminium or timber sliding patio doors. See the Specifications table on this page for backplate size, projection and cylinder details. It is non-handed, so it fits left- or right-hand sliding doors.
How do I read the Whitco code?
The last two digits are the finish (e.g. 17 = Black, 16 = White, 19 = Primrose, 11 = Silver, 08 = Bright Chrome, 99 = non-standard). Suffixes mean: KD = keyed different, KA/5KA/10KA = keyed alike, LC = less cylinder (supplied without a cylinder).
Is this finish in stock?
Silver and Black finishes are normally held in stock with the supplier. All other finishes (and no-finish/raw components) are made to order — call Prime Hardware on 1800 329 028 to confirm availability and lead time before you order.
What warranty applies?
