Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy are built into the lock itself, and an integrated video doorbell sits behind a 4.7-inch touchscreen. Finished in Nova Graphite for timber doors 35mm to 100mm thick.

Step 1 — Door type: Confirm your door is a timber entry door between 35mm and 100mm thick. The Luna Elite+ suits front and back entry doors on contemporary and renovated homes.
Step 2 — Backset: The Luna Elite+ uses a 60mm backset. Backset is the distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the handle spindle. Measure your existing backset before ordering.
Step 3 — Remote access: No accessory required. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy are built in, giving remote access, real-time monitoring and smart home control through the Yale Home app with no hub, bridge or gateway to buy.
Step 4 — Position: The Luna Elite+ is rated IP52, covering limited dust and vertically dripping water. It is not suitable for an outdoor gate, or any position where the internal escutcheon is exposed to the weather.

Do I need a separate hub or Wi-Fi bridge?
No. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy are built into the lock, so it connects to your home network directly. There is no bridge, hub or gateway to buy separately.
What is the difference between FaceScan and PalmScan?
FaceScan reads a 3D map of your face as you approach the door. PalmScan reads the vein pattern beneath the skin of your palm when you hold it near the lock. The lock stores up to 100 credentials for each, so you can set up both and use whichever suits the moment.
How many people can it store credentials for?
Up to 100 facial recognition credentials, 100 palm scan credentials, 100 PIN codes and 50 fingerprints. That covers large households, shared properties and short-term rentals comfortably.
What is the fake PIN code function?
It lets you enter random digits either side of your real PIN and still unlock the door. If someone is watching over your shoulder, they have no way of knowing which digits were the real ones.
What happens if the batteries go flat?
The lock runs on Smart Dual-Battery power using two lithium-ion batteries, lasting approximately 9 to 12 months, and it warns you well before they run down. If it does go flat there is a USB-C emergency power backup on the lock, and a mechanical key override as a final fallback.
What door thickness and backset does it suit?

Can it be installed on an outdoor gate?
No. The Luna Elite+ is rated IP52, which covers limited dust and vertically dripping water only. It is not rated for heavy rain or water jets, and should not be used anywhere the internal escutcheon is exposed to the weather. It is designed for entry doors.
Does it record video?
Yes. The integrated video doorbell stores up to 20 motion-detection recordings locally on 8GB rolling storage, and you can stream live video through the Yale Home app. Sentry Guard sends a notification with footage attached if someone lingers at the door.
Does it work with Alexa and Google Home?
Yes. The lock is controlled through the Yale Home app and works with both Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
Is it approved for use in Australia?
Yes. It carries the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) and R-NZ for Australia and New Zealand.
What warranty applies?
Yale provides a 10-year manufacturer warranty on mechanical parts and a 3-year manufacturer warranty on electrical and electronic components. Batteries are consumable items and are not covered.
