Bundle Guide — What Else Do You Need?

A complete door set depends on the door material, the function required and whether it is a double door.

1What is your door made of?
Timber doorMost internal doors. Installs with the included wood screws. Typical thickness 35–45 mm.
Aluminium doorTypical thickness 44–55 mm. May need aluminium-specific fixings — confirm the latch or lock suits your frame profile.
2What does the door need to do?
PassageBedrooms, living rooms, studies — the door opens and closes but never locks.
You need tube latch
PrivacyBathrooms, ensuites and bedrooms — locks from the inside with a snib, emergency release outside.
You need tube latch + privacy turn, or a privacy mortice lock
Backset & door thickness The backset is the distance from the door edge to the spindle centre — tube latches come in 45, 60 and 70 mm; mortice locks in 44, 46 and 57 mm. Measure before ordering. A rebated double door needs the rebated version of the lock.
3Is it a double door?

Double doors need flush bolts to secure the inactive leaf. Doors under 2100 mm: a 150 mm bolt top and bottom. Doors 2100 mm and above: a 300 mm bolt top and 150 mm bottom. Flush bolts are available non-lockable or key-lockable.

Hinges — Which One Do You Need?

Hinge type Best for Why
Ball bearing Entrance and heavier doors Bearings reduce friction and wear — best for high-use doors.
Fixed pin Internal and lighter entrance doors A reliable all-rounder for most internal applications.
Loose pin Internal use — ideal for bathrooms The pin withdraws so the door lifts off without unscrewing the hinge.
Parliament Doors that must open 180° Projects the door clear of the frame or architrave so it swings back against the wall.

Three hinges per door is standard for internal and entrance doors.

What is the Zanda Streamline Lever Handle – White (WHT)?

It is a Zanda door handle in the stated material.

What's the difference between Passage, Privacy, Euro and Skeleton Key?

Passage: The latch operates from both sides at all times and does not lock — for bedrooms, living rooms, studies and any door that simply opens and closes. Privacy: Locks from the inside with a snib or turn, with an emergency release outside — for bathrooms, ensuites and bedrooms. Euro: Takes a euro-profile cylinder and is key-lockable — for entrance doors and any door you want to lock with a key. Skeleton Key: A traditional lock operated by a skeleton (lever) key — suits heritage and period doors.

What is included in the box?

A pair of handles on backplates, the spindle and fixing screws, plus the latch or lock for the function you select. Hinges and flush bolts are not included.

Which hinges do I need?

Ball bearing for entrance and heavier doors (reduces friction and wear); fixed pin for internal and lighter entrance doors; loose pin for internal use, ideal for bathrooms since the door can be lifted off in an emergency. Use 3 hinges per door as a general rule.

Do I need flush bolts?

Only on double doors, to secure the inactive leaf. Under 2100 mm: 150 mm bolts top and bottom. 2100 mm and above: a 300 mm bolt top and 150 mm bottom. Flush bolts are available non-lockable or key-lockable.

What finishes are available?

This model is available in Matt White. Each finish has its own product code — see the finishes table in the description.

What warranty applies?
